Bauer BS Series Geared Motors for Coffee Roasters
A large manufacturer of coffee roasters needed a replacement drive solution for use on one of the models in its line. The geared motor drives the machine’s rotating roasting drum. The problem was that the existing competitor geared motor was being discontinued.
The OEM contacted Bauer Gear Motor based on previous success with Boston Gear, another Altra Industrial Motion brand utilized on other roaster models. Bauer engineers worked with the customer to select a BS Series geared motor that met the required performance specifications while fitting in the tight space available.
Bauer supplied BS units for OEM testing. A larger multi-unit order was eventually placed after the successful completion of 60-day tests.
BS Series units are economical, right-angle, worm-geared motors that install easily in the tightest applications. Units set new standards for reliability, efficiency and economy with unparalleled features, including hollow shafts in the smallest sizes. An inverter-friendly design provides for easy integration.
