Bauer Gear Motor joins leading German innovators with prestigious award from Allianz Industrie 4.0 Baden-Württemberg Bauer Gear Motor, part of Altra Industrial Motion Corp., has been recognised as a leader in the implementation of Industry 4.0 by the Allianz Industrie 4.0 Baden-Württemberg. The award was presented to Bauer for its TorqueControl 4.0 system, an integrated electrical torque monitoring solution for geared motors.

Drives and motors are used to power an array of equipment in mining operations, from conveyors, and crushing/grinding equipment to flotation cells and pumps. The major challenges associated with powering mining equipment is the increased scale of operations and the accompanying requirement for increased power, whilst maintaining reliability.
